Volunteer Information
The Greenville Museum of Art depends on volunteers to assist with almost every aspect of the Museum.

Opportunities
(Most areas require a commitment of only 2-4 hours per month)
- Information Desk Volunteer: This position requires the volunteer to make every visitor feel welcome and to answer the phone. These volunteers also answer any general knowledge qusestion about the Museum.
- Tour Guides: Tour guides educate Museum visitors about the collections, exhibits, and resources of the Museum. They serve as the educational and informational source in the Museum, as well as the Greenville community.
- "Museum in the Schools" Presenter: "Museum in the Schools" is an outreach program offered to all 5th graders in Pitt County Schools. These volunteers take actual pieces of art to the classrooms for presentation and discussion.
- Art Class/Workshop Volunteer: The Museum conducts several art classes and workshops each month. These volunteers aid in preparing materials, working with children, and maintaining the area that is in use alongside the instructor.
- Museum Ambassadors: This group represents the Museum at area events and meetings. They are involved in speaking to groups such as books clubs and community organizations about the Museum and its numerous programs and services.
