Students from GMA's Visual Arts Academy Select Works from the Permanent Collection

Visual Arts Academy students are the guest curators for this exhibition of selected works from the Museum's Permanent Art Collection. Each student chose at least one work of art on display and wrote a personal statement about each work.
The Visual Arts Academy is a program established by the Greenville Museum of Art and the Pitt County Schools to mentor students in grades 4-8 who exhibit pasion and aptitude in the visual arts. VAA studetns experience art making, art discussions, visits from practicing artists and training as museum docents. Visual Art Academy meets twice a week for eight weeks each fall and spring.
